About the author

Brian Lawler is a consultant to the graphic arts industry. He writes for several industry publications including MacUSER and Pre. His book Photo CD Revealed (Color Resource, 1994) is a technical treatise on the inner workings of Photo CD. Lawler is also the author of The Complete Guide to Color Trapping (Hayden Books, 1995), and is a contributor to a new book on Photo CD jointly published by Peachpit Press and Verbum.

His lectures on Photo CD, and the use of computers in graphic arts production, have taken him to 60 cities in nine countries in the past three years.

The author has also written essays relating to Photo CD, the measurement and control of dot gain, and the conversion of color images to black and white.
